Basketball Recap: Memorial Finds Home Court Redemption Against Northbrook

There's no place like home for Memorial, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They were the clear victor by a 61-41 margin over the Northbrook Raiders on Saturday. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Raiders, too.

Terrell Woodard and Marlon Henry certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Woodard went 6 for 14 on his way to 17 points, while Henry posted 15 points. That was a full 36.6% of Northbrook's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Memorial's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-11. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Northbrook, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

Memorial will venture away from home to challenge Jersey Village at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Northbrook, they will welcome Cypress Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Cypress Creek's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
