Soccer Recap: Newark Comes Up Short

If Newark was feeling good fresh off their 5-0 takedown of William Penn on April 8th, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Yellowjackets lost 7-0 to the Concord Raiders on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Newark of the 8-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Newark's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Concord, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Newark will head out on the road to challenge Hodgson Vo-Tech at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Concord, they will challenge Glasgow at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
