Celina came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Union City Indians with a sharp 12-2 victory.

Luke Maxwell made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, one triple, and one run.

In other batting news, Brodee Schulte-Arnold was incredible, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April. Braylon Steinbrunner was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

Celina's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-10. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Union City, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.

Celina does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Union City, they will face off against Blue River Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
