Soccer Recap: Goochland Comes Up Short

Goochland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Western Albemarle Warriors, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Goochland of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Goochland's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Western Albemarle, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1-1.

Looking ahead, Goochland is taking a road trip to take on Orange County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Western Albemarle, they will welcome Monticello at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Western Albemarle will need to watch out since Monticello have now posted at least four goals in their last four matches.
