Basketball Recap: Redeemer Christian Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Redeemer Christian entered their tilt with Saint Francis Catholic on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They enjoyed a cozy 39-25 victory over the Saint Francis Catholic Wolves. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lions also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2022.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Redeemer Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Selena Martin, who went 8 of 19 en route to 17 points in addition to seven boards and seven steals. That's the most steals Martin has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Laramie Butler, who posted 12 points and five steals.

Redeemer Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.

Redeemer Christian now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Saint Francis Catholic, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

Redeemer Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-24 win against Ocala Christian on the 25th. Saint Francis Catholic has also already played their next contest, a 63-16 defeat against Trinity Catholic on the 28th.
