Volleyball Game Preview: Cyprus Pirates vs. Granger Lancers

Cyprus is 0-4 against Granger since April of 2024 but things could change on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m.

Cyprus is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game last Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Cottonwood.

Cyprus was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-14, 25-22.

Meanwhile, it was close, but last Friday Granger sidestepped Hillcrest for a 3-2 win.

Granger took Hillcrest into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-19, 25-17, 24-26, 15-13.

Cyprus' defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Granger, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Cyprus might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Granger in their previous matchup back in March. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Lancers' Ky Hoang, who had seven digs and four aces.
