Basketball Recap: Alexander Dipaolo Key Part of Team Effort in Eagles Win

Central Florida Christian Academy lost to Lake Howell back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Eagles walked away with a 62-55 win over the Silverhawks. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Central Florida Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alexander Dipaolo led the charge by almost dropping a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds. Dipaolo is crushing it when it comes to points: he's scored at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Cambell, who shot 50% from the field en route to 16 points and six boards.

Despite the loss, Lake Howell saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Johnas Maurice posted 14 points and six assists. Thanks to that strong game, Maurice now owns an excellent 41.2% three-point shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Hayden Dzenutis, who put up 11 points.

The victory got Central Florida Christian Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Lake Howell, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Central Florida Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 63-52 loss against Edgewater on the 28th. As for Lake Howell, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-59 defeat against Palm Bay on the 28th.
