Baseball Recap: Wynnewood Sets Scoring Season-High Against Sasakwa

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wynnewood). They blew past the Sasakwa Vikings 18-4 on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Savages considering their one-run performance the contest before.

The victory (which was Wynnewood's fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Sasakwa, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-6.

Coincidentally, Wynnewood and Sasakwa will both be playing Varnum the next time they take the field. Sasakwa will host Varnum at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while Wynnewood will play them later in the day, at 5:00 p.m.
