Soccer Recap: Streator/Woodland Takes a Loss

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Streator/Woodland and Coal City had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Bulldogs fell 3-1 to the Coalers on Thursday. The match was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Streator/Woodland couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Ady Lopez, which was the first she's scored this season.

Streator/Woodland's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Coal City, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That somehow still isn't as good as their 7-1-1 record this season.

Streator/Woodland will be playing in front of their home fans against Peotone at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Coal City, they have already played their next contest, a 1-0 defeat against Kaneland on the 19th.
