Softball Recap: Appalachian Eagles vs. Skyline Vikings
Appalachian and Skyline squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Appalachian had to settle for second. They came up short against the Vikings, falling 9-2. The Eagles were red-hot at the plate heading into the match (they scored no less than ten runs in the three contests prior), but the Vikings' pitchers proved too tough.
Charlie Payne was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Trinity Day, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.
