Softball Recap: Hendrickson Comes Up Short

Hendrickson fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against East View on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 9-7. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Isabella Gonzales led a balanced group of hitters, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Alyssa Howe also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Hendrickson's loss dropped their record down to 10-7-1. As for East View, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Hendrickson is set to face off against their familiar foe Elgin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, East View will challenge rival Weiss at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
