Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Avalon). They were the clear victor by an 88-66 margin over the Paul Public Charter International Pirates on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Black Knights.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Avalon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Toran Ayana, who shot 4-for-6 from deep and dropped a double-double with 25 points and 12 rebounds. Ayana is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. Messiah Manning was another key player, going 5-for-9 en route to 14 points along with eight assists and seven steals.

Avalon's victory bumped their record up to 17-11. As for Paul Public Charter International, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-11.

Avalon has already played their next contest, an 84-68 win against St. Anselm's Abbey on the 2nd. As for Paul Public Charter International, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 83-74 victory against Capital City Public Charter School on the 2nd.
