Soccer Recap: Newport's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Newport lost against Gladstone back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cubs came up short against the Gladiators, falling 5-0. The loss put an end to Newport's undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Newport fell to 2-1. As for Gladstone, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Newport wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 6-1 victory against Marshfield on the 22nd. As for Gladstone, they will take on Madras at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Gladstone's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
