Basketball Game Preview: Trinity Trojans vs. Independence Blue Devils

The Trinity Trojans are taking a road trip to challenge the Independence Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Trinity will bounce into Monday's game after beating Gilmour Academy, who they had gone 0-5 against in their five prior meetings. Trinity slipped by Gilmour Academy 43-42 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Independence blew past Manchester, posting a 39-12 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blue Devils.

Trinity pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Independence, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.

Everything came up roses for Trinity against Independence in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 69-42 victory. Does Trinity have another victory up their sleeve, or will Independence turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
