Baseball Recap: Godwin Heights Takes a Loss

Godwin Heights managed to slip by Calvin Christian the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wolverines lost 16-3 to the Squires on Saturday. The Wolverines were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Squires earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Godwin Heights saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taisjon Allen, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Allen is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Higino Rolon was another, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Godwin Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Calvin Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-9.

While Godwin Heights had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
