Baseball Recap: Frankfort Gets the Win

Frankfort won the last time they faced Lebanon and things went their way on Saturday too. The Hot Dogs walked away with a 6-2 win over the Tigers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hot Dogs.

Matthew Berry and Chris Sandoval did most of the damage at the plate: Berry went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Sandoval went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those three hits gave Sandoval a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Angel Lopez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs.

Frankfort was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lebanon only posted a batting average of .296.

Frankfort's record is now 10-5. As for Lebanon, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Frankfort will face off against Cascade at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lebanon, they will square off against Ben Davis at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
