Football Recap: Warren County Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Warren County can now relate to. They fell 28-20 to the Wheeler County Bulldogs on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Screaming Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 250th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 103rd).

Warren County's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Wheeler County, they pushed their record up to 11-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

Warren County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wheeler County, they will challenge Clinch County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' defense has only allowed 13.4 points per game this season, so the Bulldogs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
