Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Elite Academy

Elite Academy entered their tilt with Royal Palm Beach on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Royal Palm Beach Wildcats 50-47.

Elite Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jake Reinhart led the charge by going 7 of 10 on his way to 17 points. Another player making a difference was Ladainian Brooks, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.

Elite Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Elite Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Royal Palm Beach, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.

Elite Academy will challenge Somerset Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Royal Palm Beach, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Dwyer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
