Baseball Recap: South Houston Comes Up Short

South Houston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 10-5 to the Milby Buffs. If the Trojans were looking for revenge after losing 8-2 to the Trojans when the teams met back in March of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Joey Garcia was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

South Houston's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Milby, they moved to 3-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

South Houston wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 9-1 win against Alief Hastings on the 1st. As for Milby, they have also already played their next contest, a 14-3 victory against Cigarroa on the 1st.
