Niles North is 1-9 against Maine West since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Vikings will be playing at home against the Warriors at 4:45 p.m. Niles North is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season.

Sophia Espinoza was excellent, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs. Another player making a difference was Amaya Kang, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one triple.
Meanwhile, Maine West entered their tilt with Prospect on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Knights by a score of 10-5. Maine West's victory was all the more impressive since the Knights were averaging only 3.83 runs allowed on the season.
KAITLYN MARSH spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, Maine West got a massive performance out of KARA LINDENMUTH, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that LINDENMUTH has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of ILY NANTHAVINH, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
Maine West lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Maine West's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Niles North, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Niles North has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Maine West struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
