Baseball Recap: Seymour Takes a Loss

Seymour was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 23-2 to the Windthorst Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 back in March.

Seymour saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Whitfield, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Whitfield has hit this season.

Seymour's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Windthorst, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Seymour will face off against Graford at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Jack Rabbits have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season. Windthorst has already played their next matchup (against Gordon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
