Game recap: Cassadaga Valley High School Football Team bests Pine Valley Central

SOUTH DAYTON, N.Y. - Cassadaga Valley (Sinclairville, N.Y.) jumped out to an early lead against Pine Valley Central (South Dayton, N.Y.) and never looked back on the way to a 42-12 victory on Saturday.

The Cougars scored 13 points in the first quarter. Cassadaga Valley scored on a rushing touchdown, a touchdown run, a rushing touchdown and a touchdown run.

After taking the lead on a touchdown run in the first quarter, CV was up 34-0 at the half.

The Sinclairville school grew its lead to 36 points entering the fourth quarter. The Cougars scored once in the quarter on a kick return.

The victory was a step in the right direction for Cassadaga Valley, which was coming off a 26-11 defeat at the hands of Ellicottville/West Valley Central in its previous game.
