Basketball Recap: Philip Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

Philip extended their road winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Drew Terkildsen. The Philip Scotties walked away with a 58-47 victory over the Hill City Rangers on Friday thanks in part to Terkildsen, who went 7 for 17 on her way to 19 points in addition to five assists and five boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played.

Another player making a difference was Fayth Martin, who posted five points and seven steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in steals.

Philip has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points per game. As for Hill City, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

The future could be bright for both Philip and Hill City: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Philip will try to hand Stanley County their seventh-straight loss when the two meet at 2:30 p.m. on January 19th. Similarly, Hill City will try to hand Lead-Deadwood their sixth-straight defeat when the two meet at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
