Basketball Game Preview: Washington Patriots vs. Eatonville Cruisers

The Washington Patriots will challenge the Eatonville Cruisers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Washington has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with ten straight defeats, while Eatonville will come in with three straight victories.

Washington came up short against Fife on Tuesday, falling 44-18. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 360th, while the Trojans are ranked 157th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eatonville). They breezed by Foss to the tune of 70-13 on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Eatonville's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.8 points per game. As for Washington, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.

Washington couldn't quite finish off Eatonville when the teams last played back in December of 2024 and fell 2-0. Can Washington avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
