Basketball Recap: Cadott Takes a Loss

Cadott was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against the Regis Ramblers, falling 85-35. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 269th, while the Ramblers are ranked 54th).

Cadott's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Taylor Hager, who went 5 for 12 en route to 15 points. That was a full 42.9% of Cadott's points, marking the third time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Nerdrum, who put up five points.

Cadott's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Regis, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cadott will square off against Lake Holcombe at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Regis, they will face off against Stanley-Boyd at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
