Recap: Lakeside Knights vs. Wellpinit Redskins

The Lakeside Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 23 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Wellpinit on Thursday as Lakeside made off with a 77-54 victory. Lakeside's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Lakeside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tyson Charley led the charge by scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Charley is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Liam Hendrix was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with six rebounds.

Lakeside's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 83.3 points per game. As for Wellpinit, their loss ended a 15-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-1.

Lakeside and Bonners Ferry will face off at 2:30 p.m. on January 6, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
