Basketball Game Preview: Cass Tech Technicians vs. Dearborn Pioneers

The Cass Tech Technicians are taking a road trip to take on the Dearborn Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Cass Tech saw some tournament action on Friday. They snuck past Grosse Pointe South with a 51-45 win. The Technicians haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Dearborn came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.5 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Tractors, posting a 56-18 win. The Pioneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 24 points or more this season.

Cass Tech's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-7. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.0 points on average over those games. As for Dearborn, their win bumped their record up to 15-10.
