Softball Recap: Lake Gibson Takes a Loss

After flying high against Tenoroc last Wednesday, Lake Gibson came back down to earth. The Lake Gibson Braves fell just short of the Yough Cougars by a score of 4-3 on Friday.

Brayden Seymour made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Harwell, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Lake Gibson dropped their record down to 4-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Lake Gibson will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Kathleen at 7:00 p.m. on March 24th. Kathleen has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.5 runs per game on average), something Lake Gibson will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Yough, they will square off against Greens Farms Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Monday.
