Basketball Game Preview: Union Rockets vs. Daleville Broncos

Union is 1-9 against Daleville since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Union Rockets will be playing at home against the Daleville Broncos at 7:30 p.m. Daleville took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Union, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Union turned things around against Seven Oaks Classical on Saturday. They walked away with a 52-43 win over the Firehawks.

Union got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lamar Schwartz out in front who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance also gave Schwartz a new career-high in assists (eight). Zyler Ogden was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Daleville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 56-52 heartbreaker at the hands of Eastbrook.

Union's win ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-7. As for Daleville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
