Soccer Game Preview: Chatham Hall vs. Miller School of Albemarle

Chatham Hall is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Thursday. They will venture away from home to challenge the Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Tuesday, Chatham Hall didn't have quite enough to beat Salem Academy and fell 6-5. Elle Reeves is probably feeling rather frustrated with she team right now: they lost despite she posting four goals.

Meanwhile, Miller School of Albemarle fell victim to Virginia Academy and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 9-0 to the Patriots. Miller School of Albemarle have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Miller School of Albemarle's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Chatham Hall, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 0-2.

Chatham Hall skirted past Miller School of Albemarle 1-0 in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Turtles since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
