Basketball Recap: Desert Mountain Comes Up Short

Desert Mountain lost against Mountain Pointe back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Desert Mountain Wolves received a blow as they fell 59-45 to the Mountain Pointe Pride. The Wolves just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Desert Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Mountain Pointe, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Desert Mountain will head out to square off against Arizona College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mountain Pointe, they will challenge Verrado at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mountain Pointe knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Verrado likes a good challenge.
