Football Game Preview: Central Cobras vs. Jensen Beach Falcons

The Central Cobras will face off against the Jensen Beach Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Central 9.4, Jensen Beach 7) so any points scored will be well earned.

If Central beats Jensen Beach with 49 points on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Cobras simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Treasure Coast 49-0. The Cobras might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by 35 points or more this season.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Central, adding 13 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Duane Simon, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Jensen Beach strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 21-20 W against John Carroll Catholic.

Jensen Beach's win came from a few key players Central will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tyrie McFadden, who rushed for 95 yards and one score on only nine carries. Those 95 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Gage Wilson was another key player, picking up 68 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Central's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Jensen Beach, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.

Things could have been worse for Central, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 26-7 loss to Jensen Beach when the teams last played back in October of 2024.
