Football Recap: Knightstown Wins Going Away Against Cambridge City Lincoln

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Eastern Hancock, Knightstown was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Cambridge City Lincoln Golden Eagles an 89-0 shutout. That 89 point margin sets a new team best for the Panthers this season.

Knightstown's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryor Carmichael, who threw for 174 yards and four TDs while completing 75% of his passes. What's more, Carmichael racked up 156.3 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Brody Willard also helped with four touchdowns in total.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Knightstown proved: they limited Cambridge City Lincoln to a paltry -0.9 yards per carry. The team can thank Alex Muir for the heroic effort on defense: he. Knightstown didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 14.5.
