Fort Ann's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They never let the Argyle Scots get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won four games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Timmy Webb and Hunter Charpentier made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Webb tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Charpentier didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Webb has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. At the plate, Webb went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two RBI, while Charpentier got on base in two of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Charpentier is becoming a predictor of Fort Ann's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-5 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Josh Dornan, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Drew Ladd, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Fort Ann always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win got Fort Ann back to even at 5-5. As for Argyle, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
