Flag Football Recap: Pace Academy Piles Up the Points Against Lithia Springs

Pace Academy barely beat Lithia Springs the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights blew past the Leo Lion 27-0 on Thursday. Considering the Knights have won six contests by more than 20 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Pace Academy's defense made their presence known, laying out Ty'Tianna Ritman three times. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Ann Cole Canova. Khloe Smith got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Pace Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 1.7 points on average over those games. As for Lithia Springs, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-4.

Pace Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lithia Springs, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 19-12 victory against South Atlanta on the 20th.
