Basketball Recap: Tuscola Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Tuscola can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Wednesday. They walked away with a 46-35 win over the Madison Patriots. The Mountaineers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Patriots, too.

Leading Tuscola to victory were Nora Jenkins and Kendall Williamson. Jenkins went 7 of 17 en route to 19 points, while Williamson went 6 for 12 on her way to 16 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Julia Wells, who posted three points in addition to eight assists, five boards, and four steals.

When it comes to explaining why Madison lost, don't look at Kylee Ball. Despite the final result, she had 12 points. Another player making a difference was Carrie Gunter, who posted seven points.

The victory got Tuscola back to even at 1-1. As for Madison, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Tuscola didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-41 defeat against Enka on the 6th. As for Madison, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 64-30 loss against Erwin on the 6th.
