Basketball Recap: Williamsport Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Williamsport lost against Shamokin Area back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Williamsport Millionaires took a hard 71-57 fall against the Shamokin Area Indians.

It was another big night for Joe Hile, who went 7 for 14 on his way to 21 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists for Shamokin Area. Hile's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Case Litchy, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds.

Williamsport's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-2. As for Shamokin Area, their victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Williamsport will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Crestwood at 7:00 p.m. As for Shamokin Area, they will head out to challenge Mount Carmel at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday.
