Volleyball Recap: St. Genevieve Takes a Loss

St. Genevieve suffered their biggest defeat since March 18th on Tuesday. They came up short against the St. Monica Mariners, falling 3-0. The Valiants haven't had much luck with the Mariners recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-18, 25-16.

St. Genevieve's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for St. Monica, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-13-2.

St. Genevieve and St. Monica could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Valiants (ranked 696th) will meet St. Anthony (ranked 87th) at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, St. Monica will take on Harvard-Westlake at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (334 vs. 100).
