Basketball Game Preview: Birdville Hawks vs. Argyle Eagles

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Birdville Hawks take on the Argyle Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday... Birdville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Argyle likes a good challenge.

Birdville is returning to their home court after beating Colleyville Heritage on theirs, despite the fact Colleyville Heritage has dominated at home this season. Birdville enjoyed a cozy 76-61 victory over Colleyville Heritage on Friday. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Panthers are ranked 230th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Argyle strolled past Ryan with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 50-36.

Birdville pushed their record up to 29-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Argyle, they have also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-16 record this season.

Birdville didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Argyle when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 49-43 victory. Does Birdville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Argyle turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
