Softball Recap: Cuthbertson Cavaliers vs. Myers Park Mustangs

Cuthbertson can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They put the hurt on the Myers Park Mustangs with a sharp 12-1 victory. The win was some much needed relief for Cuthbertson as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Georgia McConnell tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, Cuthbertson got a massive performance out of Grace Murray, who went 1-for-3 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Kylie Nerell, who went 3-for-3 with a home run, two runs, and a stolen base.

On Myers Park's side, Lara Howard made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with a home run.

Cuthbertson's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-10. As for Myers Park, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-5.
