Softball Recap: East Jessamine Snaps Ten-Game Streak of Losses at Home

East Jessamine was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Mason County on Friday. The Jaguars put the hurt on the Royals with a sharp 12-1 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Jaguars needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Ella Bowman was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Lily Kate Dugger was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI.

East Jessamine's victory ended a ten-game drought at home and bumped them up to 15-20. As for Mason County, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-14.

Looking ahead, East Jessamine will head out on the road to square off against Pendleton County at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Mason County, they will welcome Taylor County at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday.
