Volleyball Recap: Brevard Snags Ninth Victory in Last Ten Games

It's playoff time, and Brevard had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the Newton-Conover Red Devils with a sharp 3-0 win on Saturday.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Brevard took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-12, 25-12.

Leah Cabe was the offensive standout of the contest as she had ten digs.

Brevard was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in ten consecutive matches.

Brevard has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season. As for Newton-Conover, their loss was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-22.

Looking ahead, Brevard will take on Burns at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Newton-Conover does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
