Softball Recap: Lake Dallas Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lake Dallas can now relate to. They took a 14-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Godley Wildcats on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 on Thursday.

Alisha Christensen made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Hailey Garcia was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.

Lake Dallas has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-11 record this season. As for Godley, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 27-6.

Lake Dallas does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Godley, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-0 defeat against Sulphur Springs on the 8th.
