Soccer Recap: Russell Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Woodford County, Russell was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They never let the East Jessamine Jaguars get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. The high-scoring effort was just what Russell needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

They hit East Jessamine with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sophia Bagby (2), Ava Barker (2), Haley Daniels, and Emma Stamper.

The victory got Russell back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Russell will look to takes advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they takes on Menifee County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Jessamine, they will take on Lexington Christian at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
