Football Recap: Austin Rolow Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat West + How To Watch

Tehachapi won the last time they faced West and things went their way on Friday too. The Warriors took down the Vikings 42-26. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Warriors considering their ten-point performance the matchup before.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tehachapi to victory, but perhaps none more so than Austin Rolow, who rushed for 117 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Those 117 rushing yards gave Rolow a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Michael, who rushed for 76 yards and one score on only six carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Tehachapi was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 318 rushing yards. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 96.8 rushing yards per game earlier this season, but in their last five contests they've averaged 249.3.

Despite the loss, West still got an impressive performance from Solomon Harris, who rushed for 175 yards and four TDs while picking up 10.3 yards per carry. Harris is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 104 every time he's taken the field this season.

The win got Tehachapi back to even at 4-4. As for West, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-3.

Tehachapi has already played their next game, a 41-7 victory against Golden Valley on the 24th. As for West, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 43-13 win against East Bakersfield on the 24th.
