Basketball Recap: Colfax Gets Big Win over Higher-Ranked Bloomer

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Turtle Lake, Colfax was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Bloomer Blackhawks 64-61. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Vikings' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 330th, while the Blackhawks are ranked 90th).

Colfax's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Bloomer, their defeat ended a 12-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-2.

Colfax will square off against Elmwood/Plum City at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Bloomer, they will head out on the road to face off against Fall Creek at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
