Softball Recap: Firestone Takes a Loss

After soaring to 17 runs the game before, Firestone was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They lost 7-1 to the Orrville Red Riders.

Firestone saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brianna Dyer, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Firestone has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for Orrville, the victory snapped their losing streak at nine games and leaves them with a 3-14 record.

Coming up, Firestone will venture away from home to challenge Ellet at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Orrville, they will welcome Central Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
