Defeat or not, Rocky Mountain Prep SMART got some senior leadership from Jaziel Perez who scored eight points and Daishon Jones who scored three points along with two steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Rocky Mountain Prep SMART struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as DSST: Green Valley Ranch pulled down 15 offensive rebounds.
DSST: Green Valley Ranch's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tong Bot led the charge by scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Leul Michael, who scored ten points along with six assists.
Rocky Mountain Prep SMART's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for DSST: Green Valley Ranch, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
