Basketball Game Preview: Carolina Academy Trojans vs. West-Oak Warriors

The Carolina Academy Trojans and the West-Oak Warriors will round out the year against one another at at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 11 consecutive losses for Carolina Academy and nine for West-Oak.

Last Thursday, Carolina Academy had to suffer through a 73-44 loss at the hands of Berea.

Meanwhile, West-Oak played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Rabun County and fell 80-46. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 236th in South Carolina, while the Wildcats are ranked 71st in Georgia).

Carolina Academy will have to contain Brett Winegard as he made an impact in West-Oak's last game. He went 6 of 7 en route to 15 points along with five boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Harry Burgess, who posted 12 points and seven rebounds.

Carolina Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for West-Oak, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.
