Volleyball Recap: Make It Eight in a Row for Cathedral Prep

Cathedral Prep extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Cochranton. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cardinals, sneaking past 3-2. The win was nothing new for the Ramblers as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Cathedral Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Colette Speros led the charge by getting 20 kills and 15 digs. Speros is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least five every time she's taken the court this season. Kamryn Resurreccion was another key player, getting 44 assists and ten digs.

Cathedral Prep was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 13 consecutive contests.

Cathedral Prep's victory bumped their record up to 16-10-1. As for Cochranton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Cathedral Prep will face off against Corry at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cochranton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
